Livingston County Pheasants Forever Supporting Youth Organization 

Livingston County PF was proud to provide part of the funds for the 2016 Prairie Central High School Trap Team to compete & participate in the Illinois State High School State Tournament.

In their first season of competition, the Prairie Central High School Trapshooting Team placed second in the Illinois State High School Clay Target League’s State Tournament, held June 4 at Brittany Shooting Park in Bunker Hill, IL. PCHS shooters broke 443/500 targets to finish just behind Edwardsville High School who broke 449/500 and ahead of 3rd place Staunton High School who broke 435/500.

 

In addition to their outstanding team showing, PCHS shooters also distinguished themselves in the individual High Gun competition. In the Novice Class, William Bolen and Bradley Rhoades posted the 3rd and 6th highest scores respectively. In the Jr Varsity Class, PCHS shooters captured eight of the top ten spots. PCHS JV shooters Dalton Breeden, Eric Edelman, Klint Edelman, Grant Ricketts, Bryce Beyers, Noah Embry and Noland Kupferschmid were led by high gun Skyler Hall, who  broke 94/100 targets. In the Varsity Class, Dakota Hall tied for 2nd high gun, breaking 95/100 targets.

The PCHS Trap Team will be sponsoring a fund raising shoot at the Prairie Central Sportmens Club Range on Oct. 2, 2016 at 9:00am.  The goal is to allow more kids to particiapate in theTrap Team.  Contact Dan Masters at (815) 712-7467 to support this effort.
